The Foreign Minister of the Libyan UN-brokered government, Mohammed Sayala, revealed Sunday that 30 foreign countries will reopen their embassies in Tripoli soon after over three years of shutdown.

The Chinese news agency, Xinhua, reported that Sayala said that the UN-brokered government is negotiating with the US Department of State and is trying to assure the US of the security status in Tripoli so its embassy can return to work in Tripoli.

Sayala also added that they are working on having all of the foreign embassies returned to Tripoli, saying that they are going to provide them with the necessary security status so they can work in the Libyan capital without any security threats, Sayala added.
