Libyan Football Federation (LFF) has announced that Omar Al-Maryami will remain in his post as the coach of the Libyan national football team.

The spokesman of the LFF, Fatah Hablous, told Alnabaa TV Channel that they preferred to keep Al-Maryami in his position after the “exceptional” performance of the team against Tunisia in the last round of World Cup qualifiers.

He also added that Al-Marymai will lead the Mediterranean Knights in next January at the CHAN, saying the coach will have his first task under the spotlight when playing Kenya next month.

Omar Al-Maryami was the assistant coach working with the former coach Jalal Al-Damja before he replaced Al-Damja in the match against Tunisia last Saturday.
